Default Console handholds, cargo area lighter socket

On my 2001 Yukon, there are two handholds on the backside of the center console. I can't imagine what they are for as they would be of no use to rear passengers. Also, does anyone know exactly where the cargo area lighter socket is. Cheers. Wavelength.

Those handholds on the back of the center console are likely for front passengers to steady themselves when entering/exiting or during off-road driving. The cargo area lighter socket is usually on the driver's side near the rear, either on the side panel or the trim near the tailgate. Check both spots.
