Default DEX-COOL antifreeze

Just got done putting DEX-COOL in the radiator of my 86 Scottsdale. now I am reading all these horror stories about it, is it really that bad, that it will create so much sludge that I could blow a head gasket. or is it really ok, and good for 5 year or 105k miles, or should I change every 2 years, or do I need to go back to the green stuff, that question goes for my 03 tahoe as well...

honestly dex cool has been proven to eat seals so i would switch it back to the green as soon as possible. as for the tahoe gm put dex cool in from the factory there for i would stick with it for they probably designed the engine for dex and not the green stuff. just dont mix dex and green it will cause the sludge to build up.

its a never ending debate, the way i see it is if you put in what it came with and service it regularly you're doing all that you can
