Door issue 79 chevy
My passanger door has been hanging for a while. I ended up buyin pins from napa which was a mistake. Put in new pins/bushings and it didnt make a difference.
So I'm guessing I need to shim the lower hinge to bring the door up so it doesnt smash the side right?
oh so I tapped the bushings in slowly but the bottom bushing still wiggles.
The pins I had to hammer in so fricking hard the last half inch to seat it.

The hinge is worn out and needs to be replaced. If the new bushing wiggles, the hole is too big. You shouldn't have to hammer the pins in very hard. The bushings went in a little crooked and that is why the pins went in so hard. You have to make sure the bushings go in perfectly straight so they both line up straight to each other.

I bought another set, I'm going to try again. I think you were right about the bottom bushing not being aligned right.
When I first put the bushings in, they were tight. So i'mma give it another go.
