i have a 2010 malibu . the front passenger door wont open . i came across this several months ago and replaced the latch mechanism - roll forward and the door has locked up for days at a time and then releases "normally" .I replaced that latch with another under warranty and again the same issues.It has got to the stage that i want to bypass the electric side of the lock. It first happened when i was letting out my kid and I hadnt put the car in park but pulled up and stopped with the car in drive . they couldnt get out even after putting the car in park turning off ignition and restarting . It reset the following morning to normal functionallity any ideas?
