I believe it's a 1962? In my opinion, electronic ignition would have wiring changes as in the ignition switch, adding a resistor to the coil, adding the coil, etc. If it were me, I'd just go back with the point distributor. You're not going to get anything over with the distributor as opposed to an electronic ignition. Again, just my opinion.

distributors are pain in the azz. They need constant attention. I love electronic ignition because it's so reliable and low maintenance. Again, I'm no expert but it would seem to me that such a system would require information about the crankshaft position, so it may require retrofitting some kind of sensor. Anyway, MSD seems to be a popular choice.
