Electric Fan not working

Electric Fan not working
Hello All,
I just installed an electric fan with a relay and temperature switch and the fan is not kicking in, I let the car run for a while and nothing. it's a 64 chevelle
it has to be the temperature switch or relay
i checked the fan motor and wired it directly to the batt and it worked.
i am pretty sure i wired it correctly per directions in the box
from the relay
-grey wire to temp switch
-red wire to battery (with fuse block)
-yellow wire to IGN (on fuse box terminal)
-purple to fan motor
-ground fan motor
any help would be great, also if there is any way to test the relay and or/ temp switch would be great.

I don't see a connection for the Relay Coil Ground there, or is that what the Grey/Temp Switch does ?
(Been nice if you had furnished a picture of the Wiring Diagram)
Hook everything up but the Grey wire, turn ignition on and touch the Grey wire to ground. That should bypass Temp Switch and start fan.
Run the "Yellow" wire to the Ignition Switch, NOT a/the Fuse Box Terminal, unless you know that the Fuse Box is controlled by the Ignition Switch.
You sure you got the engine temprature up high enough to engage Temp Switch ?
If you're sure of that, and the above works, you have a bad Temp Switch.
The above tests the Temp Switch and Relay.
That Temp Switch only has one Terminal...right ?
What temperature does it say the Temp Switch engages ?
(maybe it's stamped on side of Temp Switch)
Get a few Fuses on hand too.
