Default Electrical haywire

2010 Gmc/chevy (Tahoe/Yukon/whatever) (my sister's vehicle I may have the year wrong) I recently replaced the driver's side armrest control panel for her. After that, The dashboard dials go berzerk and the radio won't shut off even with the key out.. It's derivable and there isn't a check engine light on. Car electrical is beyond me. Will getting a diagnostic gizmo and resetting the ignition module help. I am thinking no. I will update this when I get more info.
