Default Electrical issue. Is my ECU going bad?

Got in my truck and started driving. Noticed all my gauges were working except my mph needle didnt move. Didnt indicate what gear i was in while driving. Went thru my info button and miles and everything else was missing the information. Got home. Unplugged the battery for 15 minutes. Plugged it back in and seems to be working fine now. Never had an issue before. Is this a sign my ecu is going bad?
