Default Electrical problem

I have a 2004 Silverado WT1500 ext. cab with a 5.3 V8. A few days ago I started my truck but electric windows, door locks, gauges and dash lights wouldn't work. The next day it wouldn't start. I went and bought a new battery and it cured the problem until I drove it to work. Now the windows, door locks, and part of the gauges won't work. Also the ABS light, the battery light, and seat belt light stay on. I had the alternator checked and they said it was fine. Any idea what might be the problem?

Welcome to the forum...
I'd start checking every fuse...
Then inspect the ground cables for clean tight connections from the battery to the engine and engine to the body

I unhooked the battery for awhile and everything is working properly again.

A good reboot can fix a lot of things... glad you got it working and thanks for taking the time to follow up on the fix

Does this truck have a BCM (body control module) like some other vehicles have? If that gremlin comes back, you might want to look into that as a possibility.

Latest update. It went back to having the same problems. Now it won't idle when you slow down to stop. Could it be the body control module?
