Default Exhaust in cab

Wondering if anyone has any tips.
I've recently acquired a '67 Chevy pickup with a 283 V8.
I'm getting BAD exhaust fumes in the cab. The piston rings are bad, so blow-by coming through the firewall is the most likely cause.
I'm looking to replace the motor soon, but is there any temporary fix for this in the meantime so that I can drive my baby without suffocating?

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum! Do you have any pictures of that 67 Chevy?

I was going to suggest the same, "expanding foam" from the hardware store.

Yikes, I suggest something and dont know where to put it, help!!

Nice Ride, looks to be in great shape. Thanks for posting that!

Back to the expanding foam, I was thinking along the lines of window sealing foam for houses. You cant find where the outside air is leaking in? My guess would be the firewall or its coming in from under the frame. Is there any exaust leaks? there has to be if you smell it in the cabin.

Lets see what some of the more experienced guys here have to say.

mike is right if there is smoke in the cab there would have to be an exhaust leak most likely it is you exhaust manifold/ header gasket unless you have a hole in the floor

I had a 72 that was just like it but I had the 6 inline.
I think you may be having the fumes come in from the air intake for the cabin, smoke under the hood could vent out just in front of the vents below the windsheild.
