I have a 1999 Chevrolet Prizm with AC. The low and medium on the climate control do not work. High works fine (it is a manual rotary dial). High makes an insane amout of noise if used all the time. I would love to restore use of the low fan speed. I looked for a new console on ebay and they want $59 for the thing. I was hoping there was some less expensive alternative. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

I had a similar problem with an Alero...I think your problem is the blower motor. There is also a switch that I replaced...it was the blower motor. BTW, it was a Bitch to get the old one out. Good luck

 

firt replace the blower motor resitor to fix the fan speed problem, then your probably looking at a blower motor to fix the noise problem
