Welcome to the forum. MIL currently not lit and no current trouble codes? Still, flashing MIL is serious business and thus there probably is a historical DTC with freeze frame data in the PCM memory. Try a better scan tool?

I was told that a flashing "check engine" light meant to not drive the car any further than to a place to get it repaired. Something severe enough to cause catalytic converter to explode or serious engine damage. Just what I was told, no personal experience.
