Front Shock Absorber-2007 Suburban LTZ
I have a 2007 Suburban LTZ, V8 Vortec, 4WD, that has load-leveling shock absorbers on the rear that work just fine. I blew a FRONT shock that I need to replace. I am getting mixed opinions from major parts houses about what aftermarket shock to replace them with.
There is some type of sensor arm connected to front suspension at the existing shock but I see no wire or air tube connected directly to the shock absorber itself.
Searches on the internet and a parts houses have yeilded prices ranging from $450 each for an OEM to $204 each for a Ranchero brand, but no one is for sure.
I don't want to remove the old shock for fear of not getting a replacement locally the same day or getting the incorrect part and starting all over again. From the information I have provided, can someone steer me to aftermarket brands and part numbers of replacement shock. I'm baffled!
