Default Fuel problem 88 chevy k1500 5.7L

1988 Chevy pickup K1500 4wd 5.7L 350, I seem to have a problem with either fuel or the way it's taking in air. While driving it will stall out for no apparent reason. It takes a few tries to get it back up and running but it's like it's choking out. I might have put gas with ethanol in it, can that make this happen?

all gas has ethanol in it, did you check the codes and it might be a computer problem , my friend had the same problem found out the comp had a fault and had to replace it

Thanks, I'll check that. Didn't rule that out yet. Thinking it is such a simple engine, also gotta check the fuel pressure in the lines. That throttle body throws me off. It looks like a carburetor and feeds like injection.

Might want to check your fuel filter/pump as well. I had a similar problem to this on my 88 305. Try taking the line off the throttle body or off the engine side of the fuel filter and see how much gas is being pumped if you don't have a fuel gauge.
