Ok - so spent the last two evenings searching throughout this site researching for clues. We are completely stumped. 1995 Blazer (Jimmy) We have purchased multiple fuel pump relays that keep burning up (same terminal every time). We replace the relay and get about three months (now less) out of it before replacing again. Car dies intermittently or drops off while driving. Here is what has been done - in this order: Ignition switch, Fuel pump (entire kit), relay, relay, relay, fuel pump (entire kit), relay, relay, you get the picture. In addition, ran seperate ground from fuel pump to confirm proper grounding, verified fuel pressure (60psi), voltage (12+V), and searching for other areas to look at before tearing apart.

 

replace the fuel pump relay socket. You will need to make it external from the relay box. I have seen this a few times. Your other option is to replace the relay box.
