Default gas gauge

The gas gauge in my 94 k1500 reads empty when I have a full tank. Any idea on how to fix this?

More often than not it is the sending unit in the gas tank. Could be a stuck/broken float or a bad sensor. Less likely is the gauge itself. You have to do the leg work to find out which of these is the problem.
