Hi to all! I am building my 1st "not old" 454. Hopefully some of you can help me with its assembly. It's a Vortec from 1998. In studying the engine stamp it seems that this version was made in 7.4 and 7.0. Please teach me whatever you can. I have the original parts including the harmonic balancer and flexplate. Here is the block stamp info T0514XCJ and attached is a photo of the casting number. I will be using a manual transmission. Can I use my old 454 flywheel or will I need a new one?
If you could recommend an oil pan that would help. This mill is going into a 1967 Chevelle.
