Growling Noise During Acceleration & While Driving
Hello
Thanks for reading!
At idle, engine sounds fine.
Accelerating through about 20 MPH, and this loud, sort of deep/bass growling noise starts. It "sounds" like it's coming from the left front.
It remains constant through the auto-shifting of gears, i.e. doesn't sound like it's related to the motor, and doesn't go away until I de-accelerating through approx 5 MPH, and is gone completely at idle.
Slightly increases with speed increase.. ie from 45 to 55 MPH, it will get "faster" sounding.
I can drive it at 15 - 20 MPH with no sound at all.. once it starts to get above that, it "kicks" in.
Any ideas before I take it to a shop?

P.S., I did post this in the Monte Carlo forum, but afterward, I figured this sound was generic enough to post here. My apologies for double/cross posting.

That was it.
Now this morning, the TRAC OFF, ABS and Service Traction System caution lights have illuminated.
Are these systems messed with when changing out bearings?
Taking car in for recall work to dealer, but had bearing work done elsewhere.
Thanks.
EDIT: Both Chevy and Firestone confirmed related, so will be taking back to Firestone for the lights. Thanks again for confirming the bearing issue. The sound is no more
