HELP! 1999 SUB. Radio STAYS ON
Hi Y'all.
My beautiful 1999 suburban's radio has recently been staying on without power from the engine. I put the car in park, take the key out, and MUSIC. if I have the radio off, the clock on the radio console stays lit up. I have started listening to the radio more so that I'll know when this is happening.
It's not constant, and last time I was able to get the radio to turn off by switching that "manual/lock" thing above my right hand door's window controller buttons. Never knew what that lock button was for, but it apparently kills the radio.
This might be a wiring thing. Could be a key/ignition thing? At no time is the radio supposed to run off of battery power in this model (except when key is turned backward in ignition) HELP IS APPRECIATED, since if the lock button stops working, I'll have to disconnect the battery every time I drive. It may be signaling other issues.
