Default help

brand new crate engine 305 in a 1980 chevy c-10.... turning over fine. just no ignition.. no spark from the plug wires. maybe the distributor? maybe the hei points / condensor? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. im good at building just not diagnostics... tired of chasing the problem.... help... thanks. how do i check distributor, points, etc.

Are all of your ground wires properly installed? I know it seems like a dumb question, but thats where I found my problem when swapping out my engine.
