Hello i am trying to identify an engine that i am ripping off a swamp buggy. I believe that it is a late 80's Chevy small block but am unsure. i was able to recover some numbers of the engine but many were hard to read due to rust but here they are.

the valve cover #1402260 but it also had the numbers 3, 1171, and 21 all in separate locations under the valve cover.

the engine block had a #ending in 3627(the rest was not legible).
there was also a set - J246
And 5.0 LG GM

Also i would like to find the make model and year of the vehicle that the engine is from if at all possible.


can anyone help or point me in the right direction ?!
