I have a Hypertech "Max Energy" programmer for my 2005 Chev. Silverado. I am wondering what the best settings would be for adjusting the shift points. What would be the best setting for fuel economy?
I have made some changes with the programmer and have seen a significant increase to my mpg, but am still questioning whether the shift points would make a difference.

 

I know increasing the shift firmness, the tranny temp should stay cooler.

shift points are for wide open throttle and would make a difference if you were racing the vehicle at the track. For Fuel economy I would select the fuel you use and the shift firmness at 50% and if you have changed your tire height you will need to correct for that in the programmer. That would be the best setting for fuel economy

 

Just ordered one of these hypertech tuners, we will see what it does for the ol Lbz, mainly bought it for a speedo correction but will sure play with all the settings of course, hopefully it compliments my larger turbo upgrade well
