I need help I have a 1995 monte carlo 3.1
with a auto trans i use this car as a enduro figure eight race car
heres my problem it always shifts into second gear. i need it to stay in 1st.
I can get it into first but alway shifts back into second. how do i make it stay in 1st gear? please help big race on thursday

 

i also have un pluged it and it still shifts

 

2nd gear is the default forward gear. Applied all the time in all ranges.

 

ya so how do i force it to stay in first i can get it to run in first always shifts tho

 

use the lowest setting. 1 o L, but I dont know if it will work. I dont know racing specs for a front wheel drive family car.

 

So do you know anybudy who might know how to bypass the electronics on it and make it default in first. the point is not to go in a strightline but a figure 8 with jumps if you think this chevy cant handle it ill get a ford that can
