can someone tell me how to tell if my suburban is 1500 or 2500

6 lug is 1/2 ton(1500) 8 lug is 3/4 ton(2500). Also look at the sticker on the drivers door/jam and this will tell you the gross vehicle weight. 2500 will be approx. 8600lbs. I got this link from a google search.
