96 1500 stepside 4x4 350 motor auto trans. Truck Has been sitting was running great, would start it up every couple weeks. One time it ran crappy had no power, sounds like it is starving for fuel, I put new plugs wires, cap, rotor on. New fuel filter ( input side of fuel filter had trash in it ). Put pressure gauge on output side of filter and I get between 11 - 12 psi. Key on truck off. 10 - 11 with truck running. Driving me nuts. How can I tell if the fuel regulator is good? It's a TBI setup. Or does anyone have any suggestions, thanks in advance

 

Sounds as if your fuel pump is not working correctly, as you probably already know your truck needs I believe 65 psi fuel to run correctly.

 

Everything I've read online says 10 - 13 PSI. For a TBI

 

Oh sorry tbi didn't realize that. Does this truck have a connection to check the pressure in the engine bay to see if it is the same there? I know I had lean issues after I fixed the spider injector in my tahoe.

 

I can plug in where the fuel line goes into the tbi and check their, it's a little tight but I think it can be done. Anyone know how to check the regulator in the tbi setup.
