Idling problem
Hi this is my first post. i bought my first chevy truck.its c1500. its great except when it warms up. It stalls when I put my clutch in and it idles really low. Also it stall when i get to stop signs and lights. I tried some sea foam in the gas tank to maybe clean out the fuel lines a little bit but it was unsuccessful. Before i bought it the guy who sold it to me to me that there were a few pin holes in the hose that channels the gas in to the tank from the nozle at the gas station(sorry i dont know its name).Could that be the source of whats happening. Also before i bought it the guy change the spark plugs distributor cap and rotor. Any ideas as to what the source of my engine sputtering and dying out there?

Hi jpereira39,
Welcome to the Chevy forums.
Let's level the playing field a little, What's the year and mileage of this 2WD Half ton Pickup? What engine size? We're trying to give you a bench diagnosis in the blind, so the more information, the better.
There's a few possibilities. The distributor could have slipped out of time. Borrow a timing light and verify the timing's set properly.
You may have a loose or worn out vacuum hose. Check the vacuum hoses on the engine carefully, paying particular to the vacuum advance on the side of the distributor.
Sounds like the guy who sold it to you was throwing parts at the problem right before he got rid of it. How's the air and gas filters doing?

its a 1995 2wd half ton pick up. with 147000 miles on it. I noticed today that i am also leaking antifreeze and white smoke is coming out of the exhaust i believe that the head gasket is the problem
