motor mount issue putting 4.3 in PU
Don't ask why.. but I got a 92 halfton chevy pickup that had a broken 350 in it and I am replacing it with a vortec 4.3
I have a 100% complete 4.3 so thought I might as well use it. Well the engine sits on the mounts and is at least 8 inches from firewall. I am thinking I may have to weld a plate and remount the engine mount to it in order to get the motor back in proper position. I cannot see where another style mount would helf because the crossmember is so narrow. has anyone been through this or have an easier fix for it? Thx
