Default Muffler

I was wondering how hard it is to change the muffler part of a 1998 chevrolet lumina, one of the mufflers is rusted out really bad... it looks like there held on by clamps and not welded on but im not sure does anyone know for sure? its all stock

Hows it going today?

The original muffler should be clamped on. Some shops weld or spot weld as well as or in lieu of clamping.

The real issue is whether the old unit is going to come off easily. Most parts stores have mufflers in stock for popular car makes and models for MY'06 and earlier, which are specifically designed to fit your vehicle.
