Can someone help me out? I have a 2007 (new body style) Silverado Z-71, LTZ package. It also has the Bose audio system. I would like to purchase a slightly used factory navigation unit and replace the existing unit.

I know it can be done, I just need some help with what all I will need to purchase.

If the unit is coming out of another GM product, does the unit need to be "unlocked?"

Basically, advice on what I need and how I need to do it, from start to finish , would be appreciated.

Oh, a used radio will have to be unlocked at a dealer after the installation.
