Ok guys I have a 1994 s10 2.2 everything has been great for years but today at work I cranked it up, then all of the sudden smoke came from under the hood so I cut it off, so I got out and noticed the hose blew off the pcv valve, put it back in, then got in to crank it.


Then it just revs high as it can go and no brakes unless you push hard. I drove it home but of course everytime I shifted gears it was still revving high as it can. I have no idea what to do and this is very strange with revving as high as it will go and no brakes unless you push hard. No problems before this


Any advice would be appreciated.

 

You have a major vacuum leak, and I'd suspect it is at the brake vacuum booster.

 

can you tell me how to fix it and where it is? Sorry I'm a ford guy and I've had this for a year with no issues till now. How in the heck would it blow the pcv valve and keep revving highest it can get?
