Default no heat

If there is truly no water getting to the heater core then there must be a plug some where. Pull the hoses off at the motor and see if there is corrosion in the fittings.then fill it and run it with cap off till water is hot and circulating. Then check the temp of the coolant to see if thermo is working. Replace cap and feel heater hoses they should be hot if water is going thru rhem.

pull BOTH heater hoses off the engine(leave connected to your heater core)... BLOW thru one and see if you get air.... if you do the i would check your blend door, it may be stuck.... if you get no air when you blow.. the your heater core is plugged... yank, replace, and enjoy
