Default no power

i have a 08 tahoe, fuel pressure fine, volume fine, no fuel filter. transmission not slipping, it will turn 5500 rpm and go NOWHERE. ????????? no power @ all help

You mean it won't move at all? Sounds like a broken front pump or another type of internal transmission problem. Have you checked all of your wiring harness connections to make sure that something hasn't come unplugged? Maybe you'll get lucky.

should have said it diff. sorry.. the truck runs down the road fine. if your driving down the road it feels like the trans is slipping, the tach goes up too 5500 but doesnt go. the trans is not slipping.

I'm not a mechanic, but maybe it's a speed sensor. Sounds like you need to find a reputable shop to take it to for a diagnosis. I don't know if you take it to an Autozone or Advance and have them run codes if anything will show up, but it's worth a shot. It's a free service at both places. Maybe someone here knows it that model truck has a rev limiter on it too.
