Take an image of it to the auto parts store, that might help with getting the correct one.

Between cap and rotor(which I am going to keep) and module I would have spent more than a new distributor would cost. So I'm going to buy a new one after I do all test yous recommended. Any hints on how to install a new distributor.... I jumped ESC, I changed module, tested coil, and replaced cap and rotor. Next I will check the primary side of coil and pickup coil for ohms. Than I will let yous know the results.

Ummm what would you recommend the timing set at for a 305??? I have done research and they all give me different degrees... Should I set at idle with of course vacuum disconnected??? Can timing make engine run hot. She getting to 210° upper hose to hot to touch and bottom is hot, but can grab. Never had problem with cooling until I dropped in distributor (no retard ESC hookup) I can't afford this right now, but she is running for the most part lol.

Yes, but I'd think 210 is ok, you can replace the thermostat to a lower setting.
