Default Overdrive "Manual" trans ?'s

I ran across an article the other day that in it was all about certain yrs of trucks having a overdrive manual 4 spd. I think from 80-87 lt. duty C10, 2wd.
I have found some info about them but also read they have different bellhousings as well as the trans has two different bolt patterns.
Does anybody here know of what would be needed to put the OD trans behind my 68 C10 SBC with original bellhousing mounts (two) used on both sides and if any thing more is needed "special parts wise".

Thanks but I'm not looking to rebuild one, looking for the difference between its bell housings and the trans's bolt patterns they each have? Also if any one has put one in a 68 C10 (67-72) SBC eng and using its original rubber mounted bell housing would be the icing on the cake?
