Default performance upgrades?

i have a a 350 bored .30 with a edelbrock 650 carb on a stock gm intake with full length headers. other then that i believe the motor is stock i have about $2000 that i want to use to get more out of it any suggestions about how to get the most power for my money?

Head/cam upgrades are certainly where output power is found.

Any suggestions on a good set of heads and cam too run.

If you stiffin up the cam with a longer duration, I'd say go with a 750 cfm carb. Also what octane are you going to run?

Kevin-respectfully disagree with you.Bottle neck head flows aren't going to get you there.

Look at the RHS cast iron heads which for the money is a pretty good deal.Something in the range for a 350 of 170 to 180 cc intake runners.
Maybe their version of Vortec heads which are a better casting than OEM's.

just want to run pump gas want to get around 400-450 hp with the top end

Exactly right, now can you give him a recommendation on heads? Thats an area in Chevy I am not familiar with in 35 years.

I saw that edelbrock makes a blower kit and was thinking about ordering it. It costs about 2800 with a carb adjusted for it. Was unsure though if that was all I needed cause there is a pulley kit for it too is that something that would have to be purchased too
