Programmers and CA emission inspection
Hi everyone,
I have a 2006 Silverado gas truck that I've lifted and added 35" tires. I've used an ACCUPRO programmer that adjusts for tire size and nothing else. I haven't yet had to have the truck smogged, but will soon. On another site someone posted that the smog inspectors will reject any vehicle that has had a programming change to the computer, regardless of the change. Is this right? When I used the programmer it saved a copy of my original program, which I'm hoping I can use to reset it to the original factory specs. Is this true?
Thanks.
