Default real electric supercharger?

Is there such thing as a real electric supercharger? There are alot of ebay ones which sell for $30+ and I looked at some of the seller's feedbacks and it looked like most people were satisfied about what they bought. I also googled Electric Supercharger and found this supercharger selling for $199. How would I know which one works and which one doesn't?

Thanks

its like puttin a leaf blower to your air filter... it wont work. correction. on a small little 4 banger. it shaved like a tenth of a second off the time. if you put it on anything bigger than like a 1.8 4 banger. your actually reducing your airflow. those things would be nice for a garage fan if you got a used battery laying around. theres a reason why you dont see anyone with them on the vehicles. same thing with why you dont see any magazine anywhere install one.

They are junk. You could go to walmart and get a $5.00 hairdryer and get the same results.
