Rear Crankshaft housing Cover - Gasket or cover with attached gasket bead?
I will be doing a rear engine cover and seal job on my 5.3L 07 4x4 Burban soon.
I see OEM rear covers being sold with an attached bead of gasket sealant, but also see the traditional Gasket with sealant attached to it sold separate from the cover and seal itself.
Which is truly the GM OEM?
Anyone have bad experiences with either or highly recommend one over the other? Also... Any preference in either pulling the motor vs pulling the trans to get the job done easier?
thanks!
