So a few years ago out of i rebuilt a 2wd th350 with no experience using only youtube videos and it actually worked. Since then Ive done a few more 350's & 400's and a couple 700r4's both 2wd & 4x4. Today i am the proud new owner of a pile of 4l60e cores, about 25. I plan to rebuild each one NOT to ''OEM specifications''...I hate that term which directly translate to ''I rebuilt this transmission using the same junk tan clutches, plastic accumulator pistons gm used which is probably why your looking for a new transmission'' so when I rebuild I use the ''good stuff'', Ive never spent less than $700 in parts on my overhauls. so heres my question and it involves that damn ''E'' in 4l60e...if this core pile was all 700r4/4l60's I could rebuild them and market them to anybody running that trans but Im being told I can not rebuild these transmissions and market them to anybody running 4l60e. I know that all 4l60e's dont swap, I know 93-94 swap, I know 95 is a ''stand alone year'' I know not all removable bells swap so I guess my question would be more asked as such. If I have a 2001 4x4 4l60e how do I determine when its finished who I can market it to? Or if I have a 95-96 one piece case 2wd unit how do I determine who I can market it to?. I really appreciate any and all info because this is really frustrating me. I want to just take these removable bell 4x4 60's, build them to hold 500hp going uphill and threw mud and market it as so but Im being told I have to know what it came out of n so on n that I cant just market them as I have my th350/400's & 700r4/4l60's I need specific years/model, vin numbers, mothers maiden name and last 4....Thnx, Woody
