On a 1993 Chevy Cavalier, it's standard. Does anyone know how I might do this? I'm installing new carpet and the console is clearly in the way, I know about the screws at the back end, the rest I'm stumped on tho and I couldn't find and definite answer through Google. Thanx in advance.

 

Did u get that console out yet?

 

Should be some clips. If automatic, should be a clip behind the shifter to remove and then pop the handle off to reveal the rest of the stick.
