Specs say it's Synthetic.
But IMHO that is not Silicone.

The permatex brake stuff both the purple you mentioned and the green are high temp greases. They have a very high pour point and are almost sticky, very tacky as greases go. Silicone grease isn't quite as tacky and is typically clear/white to amber in color. Depending on the application each might be better. On brake components specifying silicone I stll prefer the permatex as it holds up to the heat better. On weather seals. general o-ring lube, and applications like window motors and window tracks, or door handle and lock linkages I prefer to stick with silicone when called for. As the tackiness of permatex brake grease can be a negative in those situations.
