Is Permatex Ceramic Extreme Brake Lubricant equivalent to silicone grease?

Specs say it's Synthetic.
But IMHO that is not Silicone.

The permatex brake stuff both the purple you mentioned and the green are high temp greases. They have a very high pour point and are almost sticky, very tacky as greases go. Silicone grease isn't quite as tacky and is typically clear/white to amber in color. Depending on the application each might be better. On brake components specifying silicone I stll prefer the permatex as it holds up to the heat better. On weather seals. general o-ring lube, and applications like window motors and window tracks, or door handle and lock linkages I prefer to stick with silicone when called for. As the tackiness of permatex brake grease can be a negative in those situations.
