Default Service Engine Soon Light Flashing

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado and driving into work this AM my "Service Engine Soon" light came on it stays lit for a while and then starts to flash and then will stay lit and then start to flash. Is my truck safe to drive under this condition?

I agree. Need to have it scanned for fault codes. Generally speaking, a flashing CEL or SES light is not a good indication.
