Default Shorty vs. Full-Length headers

I have a 95 Chevrolet K1500 pickup with the 5.7 350 v8. I'm getting ready to run a true dual exhaust, but I want to replace the stock manifold with headers. I don't race my truck, just daily drive to work and pull a boat/4wheeler trailer around, so I stay in the 1,500 to 3,500 RPM range. I'm looking for a little bit of a power boost for that range.

I was wondering what the difference between the shorty, mid-lenth, and full-length headers are? And which one y'all think would work best for what I'm trying to do?
