Hey I',m new here, and was hoping to get an answer to a question that I am having trouble getting. I am beggining to rebuild a small block chevy engine, I'm pretty sure it is a 350 but I am not sure what it came out of and what year it is and possibly the original horsepower.
I have a couple sets of numbers form the block,
Back of block is: 10054727
Front of block is: K1007FBM & CHS118213.
My understanding is the number off of the back of the block is the one that gives the information that answers the questions that I have, but I cannot find this number anywhere except one website said that it is a 350 from 1986 and up. I was hoping for more info than that though. Hopefully someone here can help.

according to MorTec.com it's a 10054727...350...86-up...2 or 4 bolt main...one piece rear seal, some "Made in Canada"

Back of block is:10243880 .and i think its a gm vortex 5.7.can you tell me a bit more about this engine.

my block id is 10054727 and it came with double hump heads, how much horsepower does it have stock, or as is

 

where on the engine did u get the code from?i cant find it, the spot to take it from is on the passenger side of the block here is the site i use
