Default tahoe 08 dvd player sound will not work

I have a 08 tahoe the problem is that the dvd player picture works fine but we can't get the audio to play through the car speakers. We have read through the manuals and can't make it work. We would appreciate any help or ideas on how to make it work. Thank you

It may be a lose connection between the audio and the DVD player, have you checked that? I would take the vehicle to the dealership. They will be able to diagnose/repair the issue for you. The radio works. We have tried everything we can think of. We just have to take it to a dealer to have it checked out. Thank you for your reply.
