Default TPS changed w/WORSE result 95 Suburban

Trying to sell my 95 Suburban 4x4 but had to work out a few issues first. I had ALL the symptoms of a bad TPS incl having to take my foot off the gas to shift into 2nd gear, check engine light on (comes on randomly and goes out after the truck goes into 2nd) a bit of a choke out/almost stall at times when coming to a stop and horrendous fuel mileage among others. I changed out the TPS today and it now seems a bit worse. I now have to let my foot off the gas for a longer period of time before it will shift into 2nd and now the shift doesn't seem as "fluid"/smooth (before it was just a second and it would shift easily into 2nd while driving. The truck made no strange noises before (except when warming up on very cold days for a min or so) and the shifts are all smooth, no harsh shifting or noises. Fluid is a touch dirty but otherwise full and looking good. Not willing to dump a bunch of money into it as I would negate selling for what its worth (maybe $1300-$1500)

I will note that when installing the new TPS, simply pushing it back into place didn't seat the TPS flat to the engine and line it up with the screw holes, I had to turn it to the left to get it to seat flat, push on and then back to the right to get the screw holes to line up again so I could fasten tightly to the engine. Is this normal?

Now what may be a separate issue is I took it through a car wash last night (keep in mind not one strange noise at all coming from under the truck) with under spray and immediately after leaving the wash I heard a clicking sound very fast and repeated coming from the bottom area where the tranny connects to the engine. I got up this morning, changed the TPS out, started it up and it all sounded beautifully (no clicking), but after driving it for about 30-40 km throughout town today the clicking is back. Stays present throughout every gear but seems louder in park and neutral when the engine is reving a bit higher. I appreciate any thoughts. Can't sell it like this. THANK YOU
