Transmission / Speedometer Fuse Blowing

Transmission / Speedometer Fuse Blowing
I have a 02 express van and went on a dirt road and the fuse to the transmission / speedometer blew.
I changed it and everything was fine for a few months.
It blew again when I hit a pothole on the freeway.
Now it blows in a couple of miles.
It runs rough and will not shift into overdrive without the fuse.
Is there a part that would go bad from shock or is there a speed sensor that goes bad?
