I'm considering purchasing a new vehicle for off-roading, some pretty hard-core stuff. I know a Wrangler or Bronco would be top choices, but I kind of need the pickup bed as well when not off-roading, so I figured this time around I would just get a pickup for off-roading and modify it. So, I've narrowed my choices to a Chevy pickup, but am undecided if I should go Colorado, Silverado 1500, or even 2500 or 3500 as Chevy now offer the ZR2 package in the Silverados. So my question is size aside, how big of a disadvantage is the extra weight of say the Silverado 1500 ZR2 which is almost identical in the included equipment than the Colorado ZR2 (perhaps tires are larger on the Silverado? ) for hard-core off-roading?
