What is this light on the dash of my 2002 Suburban? It blinks off and on when i get in the vehicle. I'd think it is part of an alarm system but the Suburban has the factory alarm system on it. I dont find this light in the user manual or anywhere online so im guessing its aftermarket but not sure why an aftermarket alarm would be installed when the vehicle already has the factory security system on it.
I inherited this suburban from my Dad. He bought the car new but is no longer around to ask.
I never paid much attention to the light before but suddenly have a problem that i hadnt had before with this vehicle - when i go to start the car, the horn honks for as long as i turn the key. If i tap the brake pedal first, then turn the key, it starts right up.. but then the headlights are on and they dont turn off.
Vehicle also has a trailer brake controller installed - not sure if this has anything to do with the light or starting issue or not, but it had never happened to be before.
